[...] Video: Rolling with Braulio's 1st Black Belt I'm just back from a two week visit to Gracie Barra Brimingham, Braulio Estima's gym. I'm a purple belt under Braulio who normally trains at GB Northern Ireland. While I was there I rolled a lot with Chiu Kwong Man, braulio's first black belt and one of the coaches at GB Birmingham. He's pretty damn slick.
Great job, Mark! Good post too, I'll have to link to it in my competition mini-FAQ.

As you know, I've yet to catch the competition bug myself (that sole tournament way back in 2007 is still the only one I've ever done), but it's always fun reading about mega-competitors like you and Oli G.

Now I'm a purple, I'd be interested in getting into reffing, as then I'd at least get to experience some of the things I did like about that one time I competed: meeting old friends, the atmosphere, cheering on team mates, watching great fights etc (when not reffing, of course ;p).

Hey richie, well I started competing pretty soon after I started bjj - like 3 months or something - and it'll be 5 years since I started in July so like, just over four years I guess?

I love being the other guy in highlight videos. How long did it take you to get to 100 matches? I'm up to 13 now in bjj gi and no-gi.
